WHAT IS RESIN BOUND GRAVEL SURFACING?

Combine a fine gravel and high tech resin, which stick together and hey presto you have a hard wearing and aesthetically pleasing resin bound gravel surface. The resin and gravel leave many small permeable gaps that let water drain through. Ensuring no water is held on top of the surface.

WHY CHOOSE RESIN BOUND GRAVEL FOR YOUR DRIVEWAY, PATHWAY OR PATIO?

There are many benefits to using resin gravel for all kinds of surfaces, the main reasons you should choose resin bound gravel for your hard surface are durability and just how fantastic it looks after installation. Of course you also have the benefits of a built in soak away system so you won't have water settling on the surface either.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESIN BOUND AND RESIN BOND?

Resin Bound is applied with a trowel and has gravel/aggregates pre-mixed with resin. This is then laid to a level surface and has no loose gravel. Resin Bound is permeable and allows water to soak away through it's surface.

The Resin Bonded method is slightly different as the resin is laid first and afterwards the gravel is scattered on top. This system will shed the gravel for a while and requires a little more maintenance. It will need sweeping a few times to remove the loose gravel. The resin bonded surfacing is not as permeable and you may require a form of drainage.

Prices of resin bound gravel surfaces will vary, as I'm sure you can appreciate each area is different and is highly dependent on your specific needs and the size of the job. This is why we like to have an informal chat and an opportunity, at your convenience, to measure up and discuss your needs. This way you will get the most accurate quote.
